The short version

• No analytics scripts and no advertising cookies on these pages.
• The free check stores no name, no account and nothing that identifies you.
• Audit pages are unlisted and come down when a dealer asks.
• One email to [email protected] removes anything of yours we hold.

The free check

When you type a web address at /check/, the check reads the public pages of that address the way any visitor would, and shows you what it found. There is no sign in, no account and no form asking who you are.

Two things are kept, both briefly:

• The result is kept for six hours under the hostname of the site that was checked, so a second look at the same site is instant. It holds only what those public pages said.
• To stop one visitor from running the check hundreds of times, recent checks are counted against a salted hash of the visitor IP address. The hash expires after one hour. The IP address itself is not stored.

Nothing else is written down. We do not learn your name, your email or your company from a check, and a check never puts you on a list.

Audit pages

An audit page under /audit/ is built from a dealer public website. It carries a noindex tag, so search engines do not list it, and nothing on this site links to it. It exists so one dealer can read it.

Write to [email protected] and yours is removed.

Email we send

Outreach email goes out through Instantly, using Google Workspace mailboxes we own. Instantly holds the business email address it sent to and whether the message was opened or answered.

Every message carries a line telling you to reply stop. Reply stop and you go on the suppression list and never hear from us again. We honor that within one business day.

Email you send us stays in our mailbox so we can answer it. Ask and we delete it.

Cookies and analytics

These pages set no advertising cookies and load no analytics scripts. There is no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on the dealer pages, the free check, the case study, the report or these two policies.

The free check page carries one script, written by us and served from this site. It reads what you typed, asks our own check endpoint, and draws the result. It reports nothing to anyone else.

Pages reached from our search ads carry a src parameter in the address, and we count those visits in our own storage with no cookie and no identifier. Google also adds its own click id, gclid, to the address of an ad link before you reach us. We do not read it, we do not store it and we do not send it anywhere. It exists only in the address bar of that one visit and in the standard host logs described in section 07.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare records standard request logs: the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser string. Those logs belong to Cloudflare, and exist to serve and protect the site.

Payments

Payment is by Stripe payment link. Stripe collects the card and billing details, processes the payment and sends the receipt. Your full card number never reaches us.

What we see is what Stripe shows any merchant: the name on the payment, the email and the amount.

What we see inside a client account

For a pilot or a retainer, access is by invitation to your own accounts. We never ask for a password, and you can remove any invitation at any time.

Illinois law and changes

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. If something here is wrong, write to [email protected] first. Anything that cannot be settled by email belongs to the courts of the State of Illinois.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
