Hot tub dealer: why your spas do not show in Google Shopping

You search your own spa models on Google and only two or three other dealers show up in the Shopping results, never your store. Nothing is wrong with your website that a shopper can see, the problem is data on the page that only Google's crawler reads.

01

What Google reads

Google Shopping does not decide whether to show your spas by looking at your homepage or your photos. It looks for specific signals on your product pages and matches them against your Merchant Center feed, and it needs the two to agree. In the report we ran on 2,491 single-location dealer sites, which included 449 hot tub and spa dealers, these are the signals it found missing most often.

What our crawler found across dealer sites, September 2026
Product data Google Shopping can read Structured price, availability and brand data on the product page itself, schema.org markup, not just words a shopper reads. 5%
Business details Google can read Structured hours, address and service area, the data Merchant Center checks your feed against, not only text in a footer. 51%
Link to their own Google Business Profile A real g.page, g.co/kgs or business.google.com link, not a plain Google Maps link anyone could paste in. Reported as a floor, the true share is likely higher. 16%

Of those three, the product data is the one that keeps a spa out of Shopping entirely. Without structured data on the page, there is nothing for Google to match against your feed, so a shopper filtering by price never reaches your listing, only the dealers whose pages carry it. Only 51 of the 967 dealers in product categories had it. Nothing about your ranking, your reviews or your ad budget changes that. The page has to carry the data first.

The fix, in order

Five changes to the site you already have. An owner comfortable in their storefront platform can do the first four; the fifth only makes sense once the rest is live.

  1. Add product schema to every spa page. Schema.org Product and Offer markup in JSON-LD: price, availability, brand and, if you have one, a GTIN or MPN for each model.
  2. Match the feed to the page. Whatever price, availability and shipping terms your Merchant Center feed states, the page a shopper lands on has to say the same thing. A feed that promises something the page does not is a mismatch a Google review reads as a problem.
  3. Link to your own Business Profile. A real g.page, g.co/kgs, business.google.com or search.google.com/local link on the site, not a plain Maps link, so Google can tie the products to a real location.
  4. Put business details in structured data. Hours, address, phone and service area as schema markup, not only as sentences in a footer.
  5. Submit or resubmit the feed only after 1 through 4 are live and match. A feed filed while the page and the data disagree is likely to be rejected or flagged again.

If you want it done

Have your product pages fixed.

We do the five steps above ourselves. One payment, it never renews. We write the plan first, list exactly what we found and what we will change, and nothing goes live on your site until you have seen and approved it. The work is finished in 14 days from the day you reply with your website. Some dealers keep us afterward on a $997 a month retainer to hold the feed and the pages as Google's requirements change; that part is optional, and only after the pilot.

Where these numbers come from

Every figure on this page comes from the public report on 2,491 single-location dealer sites, spa dealers included, or from the live free check above. We have no client results to publish yet, and we are not going to invent any. Read the full report at conectamedia.app/report/dealer-websites-2026/.

Questions

Why don't my spas show up in Google Shopping if my website is live and selling them?

Because Google Shopping does not read your homepage the way a shopper does. It looks for structured product data, price, availability, brand, on each product page, and matches it against your Merchant Center feed. Across the dealer sites in our report that sell physical product, only 5% (51 of 967) had that data. If it is missing, the product never qualifies for a free listing or a Shopping ad, no matter how the page looks to a person.

Is this the same problem as a Merchant Center suspension?

No. A suspension pulls listings that were already showing, usually for a policy reason such as misrepresentation. This is different: without product data on the page, the listings never had a chance to show in the first place. If your account is suspended rather than simply empty, see the Merchant Center fix page.

Do I need a new website to fix this?

No. Product structured data, a Business Profile link and readable business details are additions to the site you already have, not a rebuild. Almost all of it is a change to the pages themselves, not the design.

How do you check this without access to my Merchant Center account?

We read the public pages the same way Google's crawler does: the product pages, the business details, and any feed or Business Profile link visible from the site. Nothing on your site is changed, nothing is published, and no account access is used at any point before you hire us.
