Identity
Illinois limited liability company, file number 18152002, filed May 2026. 1449 S Michigan Ave #13448, Chicago, IL 60605. Look it up at ilsos.gov, Business Entity Search.

You searched this because your garage door company shows up when someone looks you up by name, the map, the reviews, the call button, but not when someone nearby searches without naming you. The usual cause is a website that never mentions the Business Profile: in our report on 2,491 dealer and contractor sites, garage door companies included, only 16% link their own Business Profile in a form Google recognizes as theirs.

What Google reads

A Business Profile link is not one setting. It has to exist on the website itself, in a form a crawler recognizes.

  • 16% link their own Business Profile. That is the finding from our report on 2,491 dealer and contractor sites, garage door companies among them, read September 2026. We count only a Business Profile share link, g.page, g.co/kgs, business.google.com or search.google.com/local, not a plain Maps search link, because anyone can paste one of those. 59% of the same sites show a Google map somewhere, which is not the same signal.
  • 51% carry business or service details Google can read. Structured data, not just words on the page, is what lets a search engine match your site to your listing without guessing at it.
  • 39% have a page for each town served. Without one, a search for a garage door company in a town next door has no page of yours to rank.
  • 77% mention financing somewhere on the site. A door and opener replacement is a large purchase, and the competitors who outrank you are usually the ones showing a monthly number.

Check it in fifteen seconds

Before you add anything, find out what your site already shows.

The free check at conectamedia.app/check reads your home page and up to five more, without running scripts, the same subset of what a crawler sees. It returns yes-or-no rows, including whether your site links your own Business Profile in a form Google recognizes, plus the map, financing, business details and town pages, ranked by what to fix first. Nothing is published or changed, and no name or account is required.

The fix, in order

Five steps, in the order that gets the link read as yours rather than just present on the page.

  1. Get the right link, not a Maps link. Open your profile in the Google Business Profile app or at business.google.com and copy the share link, in the form g.page/... or g.co/kgs/.... A Maps search URL is a different link and does not count.
  2. Put it in plain HTML. It needs to sit somewhere a crawler reads without running scripts: your footer, your contact page, or a "Find us on Google" line, not only inside a script-loaded map widget.
  3. Add your business details as structured data. LocalBusiness or HomeAndConstructionBusiness markup naming your business, address, phone and service area, so the page and the profile describe the same business.
  4. Give each town you serve its own page. A page per town beats one service-area paragraph, and it's the piece 39% of dealers in the report already have.
  5. Re-run the check on the live page. Confirm the link resolves and the details read back correctly before you file anything with Google.

If you want it done

The Business Profile link is one line item inside the $397 pilot, the same fourteen days as the rest of the checklist: financing, town pages, business details, a Spanish page and the rest. You get a written plan naming exactly what gets added, you approve it, then it gets built. One payment, no renewal.

If you want it kept current as you add towns or brands, that is the $997 a month retainer, optional, cancel anytime.

Questions

Will linking my Business Profile fix a suspended listing?

Not on its own, and nobody can promise that it will. It is one of the public signals Google's own guidance says a reviewer looks at when judging whether a website and a listing belong to the same business.

What's the difference between a Google Maps link and a Business Profile link?

A Maps link can be pasted by anyone, so it does not prove the page belongs to you. A Business Profile link, in the form g.page/..., g.co/kgs/..., business.google.com or search.google.com/local, comes from inside your own profile, and it's the form our free check and Google both read as yours.

Do I need a page for every town I serve?

Not required, but it changes what shows up outside your home city. Only 39% of the sites in our report had a page for each town served, and a near-me search in a town without one usually goes to a competitor who has it.

What does the $397 pilot include?

The Business Profile link on this page plus the rest of the eight-item checklist: financing, town pages, business details, a Spanish page and more. One payment, 14 days, a written plan first, and a full refund if a listed fix can't be done because of us.

Where these numbers come from

Every figure on this page comes from our public read of 2,491 dealer and contractor websites, garage door companies included, September 2026: no accounts, no logins, only what any visitor or search engine can see. Read the full report.
